THE WHAT
So what is therapy? For me in a nutshell it most definitely is not a quick fix or a magic bullet. It is a process that takes time and committment. It is about relationships and understanding, improving and developing the
relationships we have with ourselves and others in our world.
THE WHEN
When we first connect by phone the focus will be on what issues you wish to work on and scheduling an appointment for our first session. This brief phone conversation will be limited to 15 minutes. During our initial meeting at
my office we will have the opportunity to ascertain if we connect and converse further about the type of issues that you are seeking help with, as well as address any questions you may have and complete any essential paperwork.
After this meeting, the number of sessions will depend on your needs and goals. Therapy is usually most effective when a weekly committment can be made initially and then as therapy progresses sessions become less frequent.
THE WHERE
We will meet punctually at my office. I suggest arriving five minutes before our scheduled appointment so as to give yourself the opportunity to relax from your journey before the session begins. If you find yourself running late,
please let me know if possible, also be aware that our session begins at the scheduled appointment time and that I cannot accomodate extending the session because of your being late. My full fee will also be payable.
